PAIS is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting accountability, responsibility, and access to education, healthcare, and safety net programs for caretakers of individuals with special needs struggling with a language, culture and financial barrier.
We are committed to collaboration and community involvement to help simplify access to a complex system. At PAIS, we believe in the power of education to transform lives, and we work to ensure that every person has the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Right now Portuguese is the third most spoken language in the state of Massachusetts and yet the special needs community doesn’t have access to Portuguese speaking services and scramble to gain access and assistance to services in their own language.
Our mission is to close this gap and focus specifically on this demographic of Portuguese speakers helping them advocate and gain access to what they need to ensure their loved ones live a respectful life.
